America's Promise Alliance reports that every 26 seconds a young person drops out of school in America. Columbus, a large urban community and the center of Ohio's government, faces major challenges in ensuring that all students complete high school.



The vision for the "Community Partnerships: Making Graduation Possible"
Dropout Prevention Summit is to bring together major sectors of the community
to collaborate on innovative approaches for addressing the issue of dropouts and
develop a City-Wide Action Plan that will serve as to mobilize the Columbus community in providing students with the support they need to graduate from high school and become productive citizens, ready for work, college and life.
